He also painted his entire family. Word is that the wife of the postman was a bit creeped out by Van Gogh and didn't feel very comfortable being alone with him. I imagine that Van Gogh could be rather off putting at times. Mad skills as a painter, though, for sure!KALI PARSONShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18147871276311676498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5412702878809610331.post-13784708886648800062015-10-12T18:14:55.107-07:002015-10-12T18:14:55.107-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.KALI PARSONShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18147871276311676498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5412702878809610331.post-41322158920272826422015-10-11T06:14:07.663-07:002015-10-11T06:14:07.663-07:00We studied Van Gogh for an entire semester in scho...We studied Van Gogh for an entire semester in school. When I first saw this painting, I thought the sitter was a ship's captain. He doesn't look like my mailman. Anyhow, I guess Van Gogh did a couple of this guy's portraits - saw one at the museum in Detroit. It was just awesome! You have good taste, Kali.
