Love...

We've been doing a lot of clearing out lately. And in the process of clearing things out it became clear that some things were definitely not on the "clear out" list.

Little guy: "What the heck is this?"

Dave: "It's a typewriter."

And the "antique" from the 80s was carefully placed upon a high shelf where it will live out its life as an unused, yet loved and appreciated part of our past.

Shady People

Much to the chagrin of our little guy.

This morning we attended a football scrimmage.  Our kiddo is a runningback for his school's J.V. team and we were there to cheer him on.

Only thing is...we sat on the opposing team's side.  And we did it on purpose.  You see, the sun was blazing on our team's side.  The opposing team's side was totally in the shade.

Hmmmmm....shade, sun, shade, sun, shade, sun.  Yup.  Shade won.

Little guy after the scrimmage:  "You guys are stupid."

I'm quite sure he'll understand when he's our age.

...or perhaps we should invest in some really, really, really big brimmed hats.
