My Bliss

I just registered to be a participating artist in the West Austin Studio Tour. It was a great opportunity to rework my artist bio.

"I'm endlessly inspired by nature and creating art is my way of celebrating all that is beautiful in this world. I use acrylic, collage, ink, watercolor, and anything else I get my hands on and much of my work is created using things that otherwise would have been discarded. My Personalized Teacher Planning Book

At the end of July I received word that I'd been awarded an A+ Education Foundation Grant from A+ Federal Credit Union. The next day I went straight to Lakeshore Learning and ordered some amazing new things for my classroom to support my students' needs (I work with 3, 4, and 5 year olds with disabilities...and amazing super powers, I must say). When I made my big order an awesome teacher planning book was given to me. And while I loved the cover it had, I decided to paint the front and back covers to personalize it. And I'm super happy with how it turned out!

P.S. The lovely lady at Lakeshore that helped me is named Hazel, just like my wonderful big dog. And what's super awesome is that Hazel got to meet Hazel when we picked up my order.
