Backyard Bliss

I was out in the backyard. The sun was shining. There was a slight breeze. I'd just hung laundry to dry. Phyllis, my wonder chicken, was being adorable. The universe was clearly sending me a message.

What was that message? Well, to chill out, put on a podcast, and paint, of course!

It's Good to be a Girl

It's good to be the only girl in the house.  One particular way has surfaced just recently.  And it revolves around laundry.

Every time there's clean laundry a battle ensues.  A "That's mine!" battle.  The thing is, both of my boys and my husband now all wear approximately the same size shirts and shorts.  And they have no qualms about taking each other's clean clothing out of piles or drawers.

Me?  Well, no one wants any part of mine...the girly, frilly, lacy, pastely, polka dotty, flowery, and tiny.  And that's awesome.

This is part of my Hallway Project.

The Mighty Power of the Pile

There's a HUGE pile of laundry on our bed.  Its life for the past few days has been "all over the bed during the day" and "back in the hampers" at night.  This in and out cycle has happened at least three times now.

Well, I thought that surely, today was going to be my day to finally tackle that pile.  But I found that I could not.  You see, the cats have taken up residency on our bed...on the pile.  Cats are clearly rendered helpless in the presence of clean laundry piles and must take long recovery naps.

And what kind of person would mess with that?
