Snuggie make-over! Yes, I am one of the millions who bought a Snuggie
several years ago. Actually I bought one for everybody in the family.
This is the only one that we still had because the print was cool and I
couldn't part with it...though it just sat in the closet. Today I turned
it in to a cute little fleece tunic. Now it will finally get used
again. And, bonus, I have enough material left over to make a few
infinity scarves or maybe one scarf and a winter cap.

And Even More Pussyhats!
Kali is my name and making pussyhats is my game. :-)
I've added a few more pussyhats to the fundraising section of my Etsy site. Sales of my pussyhats will benefit Planned Parenthood. I hope to make more over spring break. If you live locally (in Austin, TX) and can pick the pussyhat up at my house, no need to order on Etsy. Just message me so the shipping charges can be avoided. Thank you, friends! Here's the link if you're interested. https://www.etsy.com/shop/ KaliParsonsArt?ref=hdr_shop _menu
A HUGE thank you to those who have purchased my pussyhats!
P.S. I'm happily accepting sweater/fleece donations!
Here's what I've recently added to my Etsy shop.

Skull and Crossbones Shorts
I remember the first moment that I realized that my kids could be stinky. It wasn't the poo or spit-up. Those stunk, but that's not what I'm talking about. I remember how when there were super little I loved their little bitty toes. I'd pretend to bite them and they'd laugh hysterically. And I kept this fun ritual up until one day. Yes, one day. The day when their beautiful, innocent, precious little feet started to stink.
<GASP!>
I was so shocked that something so offensive could affect something so very perfect. But, alas, the stink was to reoccur each and every day from then on out.
Sigh....
What made me think of this is that this morning I went into my little guy's bedroom.
Me: "Oh, my gosh, what's that smell? Something happened in here?"
Little guy: "Huh? What? I don't smell anything." He had just woken up.
Me: "Did a cat maybe pee in here? It's really bad."
Little guy: "Oh, I know what it is. I brought my football practice clothes home to wash."
And now I miss those stinky little toes.
I made these shorts out of one of my kid's old, out-grown t-shirts. They are so incredibly comfortable! I wanted to put a pocket on them, but I just couldn't make one work that I liked. Maybe I'll hide one just big enough for a key on the inside. And now that I think about it, my kid's dirty football practice clothes need to be marked with a skull and crossbones. Danger, danger!

I love science!
My husband is very helpful. Really it is. Only sometimes I don't really want his help even if I need it. Like last night. I had the hiccups, you see.
So I'm going about my business, not liking the hiccups, but not totally being irritated by them either. I was trying to make a small dent in the HUGE pile of laundry on our bed when..."BLAAAAAAGGAAAABAAAA!!!!" Dave scared the living tar out of me. And I slapped him silly as is my uncontrollable instinct...Whap! Slap! Whap-a-slap!
...and then I hiccuped.
So about thirty minutes later, when I was still hiccuping, I put on my jammies determined to go to sleep, hiccups or not. And then "Wham!" I was body slammed flat.
Dave: "Wrestling gets rid of hiccups. It's scientifically proven."
And about one minute later after hopefully not causing Dave any permanent damage as I fought back against my assailant...my hiccups were gone.
I love science!
