She Owned her Curves

I wanted to convey confidence in feminine curves with this painting. We all come in such an amazing variety of sizes and shapes, all so beautiful. When I meet a woman who loves her body in all of its curvy glory, my heart sings. Let's own our curves, ladies!

Lost in Thought

So I'm sitting here lost in thought at a coffee shop just wondering what I'll blog about today, when all of a sudden I notice that the amazing cinnamon roll thingie that Dave got us has the most crazy curly peaks at the tips at the top. It's kind of an odd cinnamon roll to explain, but suffice it to say that it would fit in in a mild version of a Dr. Seuss book. And then my mind wandered to the painting I did today and then all I could think about were the curly tips of the woman's hair. And the sugar and herbal tea must be getting to m because all I can think of is that my painting and the roll must have come from the same awesome alternative universe or something.

And now I know for sure that I'm not going to eat the last bite.

Who's That Girl?

There are so many artists out there that can draw people and draw them well.  They can even draw specific people.  Me?  So not one of my super powers.  But I still like to draw people (in general), regardless of my skill level.

Anyway, I'm a bit of a kid with my art work and I often take it to my husband and show him.  "Lookie, lookie what I drew!!"

He's always super awesome and generous with his compliments.  And he was with this one, too.  Only he was quite sure it was a portrait of someone we know.

So, help me, my friends.  Solve this mystery.  Who's that girl?

Mind that Language!

I remember the first time my little guy cussed.  He tripped, and with absolutely perfect timing he said, "God dammit!"  And that's the day I stopped cussing in front of my toddler.

Now these days he says "crap"...a lot...but that's it.  At least in front of me, so I'm good with that.

But today I thought he'd finally slipped back to his toddler cussing days when I received this text.

"Where at the svcuk age you picking me up"

Wha?

"School are"

Oh...whew!
