This piece was commissioned by a lovely friend. Someday I hope to dip my toes into this water.

Here are two more commissioned pieces I've recently completed for the same client I've been working with. I shipped them yesterday and can't wait to see photos of all of them hanging in their headquarters.

This is the fourth in a series of paintings I'm doing for a delightful client. Chocolate...caramel...apples...what's not to love?!?!

Sometimes when you're painting a commissioned piece you totally fall in love with the subject. Yup, that's totally what happened here. What a cutie!!!
This is the fourth of a series of commissions I've done for an amazing client. I look at those cherries and I'm reminded of how much better we all can be when we're together. Looking forward to a summer filled with togetherness.

I was commissioned to recreate a piece I'd painted in 2019. This recreation is even more vibrant than the original. Always such an honor to do a commission.
"I Love Sushi" |
This is the second in a series of food related commissions I'm working on. This was commissioned by the same person as the last one as a gift for his dear friend (who happens to love dolmas). I'm pretty fond of dolmas, too!
P.S. The veins in the grape leaves are gold and they sparkle.

This piece was commissioned by the owner of a chocolate covered strawberries company.
I'm super honored that it will be hanging in their store.
The title says it all...I love strawberries!!!

It's always an honor to be trusted with someone's image. I really enjoyed doing this commissioned piece.
I love this little girl's awareness that she is witnessing something so incredibly special. She radiates wonder, joy, and patience.

My first step was to paint a horizon and then add a house in the background and some trees in the foreground. |
I added details to the house and the ground. Are you seeing Matisse in this yet? |
I added more details...trees (I added one in the background, too), the house, a walkway, and a stone pathway. I added some figures as well and sent it to my client to see if I was on the right track. |
She wanted the figures to be bigger, so before I painted them I created a bunch of mockups to check on positioning. This is one of the mockups. |
This is another mockup. There were nine total. |
