Whether you are counting up or counting down is a matter of perspective and choice.

This piece was originally a palette for some recent work. I was about to put more paint on it yesterday when this flower popped out at me. She just needed a bit of defining to bring her more forward.

Our sweet old cat, Pug, has wandered off to what we assume to be his final resting place. He was our constant companion for almost all of his 17+ years and it was an honor to accompany him on his life journey. The Pug sized hole in our hearts is filled with beautiful memories of a spectacular friendship.

I Love to Love

I've been watching the show "River" over the past weeks and really loved the first season. Tina Charles' song, "I Love to Love," had a significant part in the show and it's been the most delightful ear worm. Maybe just the tiniest spoiler alert...but one of the last scenes in the season involved that song and I was a puddle of tears by its conclusion. I was probably due for a good cry anyway).

So, anyway, this piece came of that (plus some art inspiration from a friend, you know who you are). And then I woke up this morning and Facebook reminded me that it's my 26th wedding anniversary. I love how things just tend to come together in perfectly unexpected ways.
