Make Peace with Reflection

When I was about 16 or so, I went to a family camp in Big Sur with my mom and my brother.  There was a young kiddo there who, with great authority, told me one day, "You're going to be a funny looking adult." Pretty sure I gave him my best stink eye and wandered off with a new friend I'd made. Well, I can't begin to tell you how many times in my life that little kiddo's words have echoed in my head as I've done this adult thing. An inopportune reflection in a unflattering photo..."Oh, fudge, I AM a funny looking adult!" Oy. Thankfully, the older I get the more at peace I've become with reflecting upon my reflection.

"Make Peace with Reflection."
