Hoooooo Knew?

Well, maybe you knew, but I didn't.

I've had my "studio" (my living room) open to the public two weekends in a row for WEST, and happily a lot of my art has been selling. You know what the most popular subject matter has been? Owls, that's what! I'm super happy because not only are they incredibly awesome animals, but they're one of my favorite things to paint.

So with my current shortage of these nocturnal wonders, of course I had to paint another!

Click here to view my gallery.  Most of my paintings are for sale.
I'd love for you to share my art and blog with the links below.  Thanks!

  1. Your owls are just wonderful, Kali. It appears a lot of people have good taste. I've gone to lots of studio tours where I live. Some feature art in living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens (that's a popular one), basements and inside gardening sheds. Rarely have I seen the cool loft in the old industrial building studio, but I guess they are around. Home studios, for me, make art more personal; something I can relate to. Love your posts on WEST. Thanks for sharing them.

    1. Thank you! I completely agree. When you go into someone's space you get a personal connection with them. You get a story to add to the art. I love it, too. WEST was wonderful for me...though I missed going to other artists' studios. I'm already excited to do it again next year!
