Chicken Run

It's amazing when you find things on the internet. But what's even more amazing is when internet information finds you.

This very thing happened quite recently. You know I do this blog thing. And you know I paint lots of pictures. And of course you know that I adore my chickens. Well, these three collided in a perfect storm of information. Because of all of those things a lovely lady and I struck up a conversation and she let me in on the fact that chickens love cottage cheese.

So when I went to the store I bought some.

And they LOVED it! Especially Red. She loves it so much that she'll let me pet her the entire time she eats. And, bonus, every time I walk out in the back yard that sweet girl runs like the dickens to see me the cottage cheese.

Chicken love....

    1. Hi Rafael, thanks for asking! Generally I do the ink first and then paint. Then if needed I'll add more ink at the end. That's what I did with this one. But sometimes I start with the watercolor if I'm going for something more loose or the mood strikes. Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. I've only used them a couple of times. I actually have a project coming up soon that requires them (for a class I'm taking). I'll know more then. Have you used them? What do you think of them?

  4. I have some wat, pencils but not of very good quality. I have not been very constant with painting, I do it once in a while, for get it and then come back. I really admire this daily painting but I can not do it since it seems that I do not have the time to do it.

    1. It was super hard at first. But after over 3 years of doing it, it's just part of who I am. I never watch TV, so that gives me a bit more time to work with. And sometimes I do just a very small painting, 2"x2", so that makes it manageable on crazy days. It's added so much happiness to my life.
