It's a Squeak, It's a Squeal, It's a...

The women's tennis match is playing in the background of my life tonight.  I'm slightly startled each time the one makes that funny little squeal thing she does.


Little guy:  "Why does she do that?"

Me:  "I think it's like those noises you make when you do karate."


My little guy wandered away and then returned to the front room with a tennis racket.


Little guy:  "Pieuuuuuuuuu," as he swings a tennis racket.  "I figured it out...it's a voice crack."


Hmmmmm...thinking that only applies to teenage boy tennis players who are going through puberty, but hey, who knows?
